Illinois-based Athletico Physical Therapy Friday announced it has acquired C. Weaver Physical Therapy, a single outpatient rehabilitation center in East Lansing. The transaction marks Athletico’s 35th clinic in Michigan. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“C. Weaver Physical Therapy is a strong provider of physical therapy and has delivered an invaluable service to the East Lansing community for many years,” says Mark Kaufman, president and founder of Athletico. “We are thrilled to have Carl and his staff as part of the Athletico team and look forward to growing together in central Michigan.”

Carl Weaver founded C. Weaver Physical Therapy almost 25 years ago. He is the company’s president.

“Similar to Athletico, C. Weaver Physical Therapy was founded with the shared value of offering the highest quality patient care, beginning with hiring the best physical therapists and athletic trainers,” says Weaver.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of Athletico and seeing this clinic and its team of experts continue to provide kind, compassionate, exceptional patient care to the East Lansing community.”

Athletico has more than 400 locations and 4,500 employees in 11 states and is based in Oak Brook, Illinois.
