Bloomfield Hills-based business law firm Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy, and Sadler PLC (Dawda Mann) has announced Neil Silver as a new partner.

In his new position, Silver’s practice will focus on real estate law, environmental law, corporate law, and banking, representing clients in complex transactions, corporate and business formations, and contract negotiation and drafting. Currently, he is a corporate counsel for multiple businesses, both large and small. He also is counsel for several local and national financial institutions and for certified development corporations, along with being designated counsel for the Small Business Administration.

“As our firm grows, it’s important that we take steps to strengthen our team and expand our legal knowledge in order to provide our clients with the best service possible,” says Ed Dawda, managing member. “Neil’s substantial experience and insights in environmental law, specifically, fortifies our knowledge of the subject and allows the firm to take on more cases and serve additional clients.”

Before coming to Dawda Mann, Silver was a member of Kecskes, Silver, and Gadd P.C. He also served as general counsel for Sterling Bank and subsequently as vice president of NBD bank in the law department, where he drafted the bank’s environmental policies, as well as loan documentation.

Silver graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law, is an associate member of the Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers Association, and a member of the State Bar of Michigan Environmental Law Section. He was named a United States Small Business Association Designated Attorney. Silver has additionally testified before the House and Senate subcommittees on environmental issues.

Dawda Mann has served both local and national clientele, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individually owned businesses across a range of industries and specialty areas for more than 20 years.
