Beaumont Health Announces Two New Executive Leaders

Royal Oak-based Beaumont Health has announced the appointment of Chris Harrison as senior vice president of financial operations and corporate finance, and Jonathan Maner as senior vice president and executive director of Beaumont Physician Partners and executive director of Beaumont Medical Group.

Bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the accounting and health care industries, Harrison will work on developing and administrating an integrated financial plan that will focus on performance improvement in responsiveness, operations, and financial communication for Beaumont Health’s corporate division.

Harrison is a certified public accountant and a certified net revenue analyst. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Wesleyan University and a Master of Accountancy degree with an emphasis in health care from Belmont University.

Before joining Beaumont, Harrison was vice president and operations controller at LifePoint Health, headquartered in Tennessee. There, he oversaw all aspects of operations for the health system’s 72 hospitals, which included net revenue calculations and analytics, accounts payable, payroll, financial and operational reporting, and annual budgeting.

Other positions Harrison has held include senior manager of internal audit, and director of financial analytics at Hospital Corp. of America; staff auditor at Healthcare Assurance; staff accountant at National Renal Alliance in Tennessee; and financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.

In his new role, Maner will lead the 1,000-physician multi-specialty Beaumont Medical Group and will work to optimize and integrate Beaumont Health physician services.

He brings nearly 20 years of experience working with health care organizations across the country at institutions such as Northwest Health System in Arkansas and Navarro Regional Hospital in Texas. Prior to joining Beaumont, Maner worked as vice president of operational excellence since 2015 for the Trinity Health System Office Physician Network Organization. He led the Trinity operational and financial transformation of the physician organization, which includes 22 states and about 1,700 practices with 7,000 physicians. Additionally, Maner was senior vice president of physician services for the Trinity Health – St. Mary Physician Group.

He holds a degree in business administration from Capella University in Minnesota and served in the United States Army for nearly 10 years in the 101st Airborne Division and the 10th Mountain Division.

Beaumont Health was formed in 2014 as a nonprofit organization by Beaumont Health System, Botsford Hospital, and Oakwood Healthcare. Beaumont Health has total net revenue of $4.4 billion and consists of eight hospitals with 3,429 beds and 187 outpatient sites.
