Baker College Names New Director of Student Affairs

Iris Lane has returned to the Auburn Hills campus of Baker College as director of student affairs.

Lane is responsible for student success initiatives, including strengthening the quality of student services, student retention efforts, and overall campus life. She will maintain her current position as dean of health sciences for the Clinton Township and Port Huron campuses through spring quarter.

Lane joined Baker College at the Auburn Hills campus in 2002. She advanced to dean of health sciences before transferring to Baker College of Port Huron as chief academic officer. Among her responsibilities for student success initiatives, Lane will oversee the Academic Resource Center and the learning support services provided there.

Previously, Lane worked 15 years in various administrative and academic positions at technology and health care organizations.

She earned her bachelor’s in health care administration from Detroit College of Business, now Davenport University, her master’s in education from Central Michigan University and her doctorate in education from Walden University.
