DETROIT — Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan is nearing the end of Million Meal Match, its month-long campaign to raise one million meals for hungry children, and is asking he community to donate before its April 30 deadline.
Today, WJBK-TV (Channel 2) will share stories of Gleaners’ programs that distribute healthy food to children in need in nearly 200 schools across southeast Michigan.
Normally, a $1 donation provides three meals, but during Million Meal Match, $1 provides six meals, thanks to Gleaners supporters, including PNC Bank and General Motors Co.
