DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Names Chief Nursing Officer

COMMERCE — Renay Gagleard  has been named chief nursing officer of the Detroit Medical Center’s Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital.

Gagleard, of Lenox Township, has nearly 30 years of experience in clinical practice and leadership. Most recently, she was the service line administrator for women and children’s services at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Prior to joining Hurley, she worked as a clinical nurse specialist for Beaumont Hospital, and for Providence Hospital. Gagleard also has served as a clinical nursing instructor at Madonna University and the University of Detroit-Mercy. In addition, she was a hospital researcher and consultant for the Michigan Department of Community Health.                       

Gagleard earned a Master of Science in nursing at University of Detroit-Mercy and Wayne State University, and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mercy College of Detroit. She is currently pursuing a doctorate of nursing practice at the University of Detroit-Mercy.
