3 Business Leaders Named to Vistage Michigan

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Three business leaders from metro Detroit have become members of Vistage Michigan, an affiliate of the world’s leading chief executive organization, Vistage International.

The new members are: Larry Gintner, far left,vice president of Chesterfield Township-based Schena Roofing and Sheet Metal; James “Jay” Hawreluk, center, CEO and founder of Dearborn-based AcuMax Inc.; and Rob Keenan, president of Troy-based Seco Tools.

As a member of Vistage Michigan, they will be members of an advisory board of CEO peers who meet in small groups, several times a year, to assist one another in business decisions to achieve better results. They will also take part in one-to-one business coaching sessions from a seasoned chief executives.

Gintner has been vice president of Schena Roofing & Sheet Metal since 2007. Previously, he was a foreman at C. Davis Roofing. Gintner attended Wayne State University and is a resident of Washington Township.

Hawreluk is the author of Unraveling the Mystery of People, which led to the creation of the AcuMax Index, the first drive-based reporting tool measuring a person’s natural hardwiring. He founded AcuMax Inc. three years ago to provide organizations with consulting services along with the AcuMax Index tool to better assess and build their workforce. Previously, Hawreluk provided consulting services to businesses in the areas of productivity, human resource management, lean manufacturing, and computer hardware/software sales. Hawreluk, of Dearborn, earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Detroit.

Keenan, of Oakland Township, assumed the role of president at Seco Tools in January. Seco Tools is a manufacturing and supplier of carbide cutting tools and associated equipment. Keenan has been with Seco Tools since 2004, first as sales and marketing manager and then as country manager for Canada. Keenan earned an associate’s degree in mechanical technology at Thomas Nelson Community College and attended a journeyman machinist apprenticeship program.
