AUBURN HILLS — Palace Sports & Entertainment has named three new executives to its organization.
They are:
Ted Major as the new vice president of corporate partnerships; Jessica Merkle as producer/editor; and Tiffany Kress as promotions coordinator.
Major will oversee corporate sales, regionally and nationally. Previously with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Major also spent five seasons with the Florida Panthers as executive director of sales and served with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Washington Wizards and Capitals and the New Orleans Hornets. He has a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Akron.
Merkle, center, will work in production, responsible for producing and editing video content for Pistons media channels and commercials. She most recently interned with the Cleveland Browns in Video and Scoreboard Production. She has a bachelor’s in Fine and Applied Arts (Media Production) from the University of Akron.
Kress, a former figure skater with Disney on Ice, will assist the PS&E Promotions team with sponsor activation and fan engagement. She comes to The Palace from Plymouth-based Performance Events Services, and she also worked as an Event Marketing Assistant with the Detroit Red Wings. She has a bachelor’s in public relations from Wayne State University.
