Molina Healthcare Invests $16 Million in Oakland

PONTIAC —  Molina Healthcare, a Fortune 500 healthcare company, is expanding under Oakland  County’s Medical Main Street. Molina Healhcare will invest $16 million in Oakland County creating 337 jobs, County Executive L. Brooks Patterson announced today. Molina Healthcare chose Oakland County over several competing states because of the county’s collaboration with the Michigan Economic Development Corp. and the city of Troy.

“Molina Healthcare’s expansion in Oakland County highlights that Medical Main Street remains our most robust emerging sector,” Patterson said. 

Molina Healthcare is the 40th company to invest in Oakland County since Medical Main Street’s inception in 2008. Together, these companies have invested more than $924 million creating 5,405 jobs and retaining 1,656.

Medical Main Street markets Oakland County as a destination for world-class healthcare, life science research and medical device manufacturing. Well over 100,000 individuals are employed under the Medical Main Street umbrella, or about 1 in 5.5 members of Oakland County’s workforce.
