Gorman's Names New Interior Designer to Shelby Twp. Store

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — Gorman’s Home Furnishings And Interior Design has  named Leen Zabalawi an interior designer to its design center in Shelby Township.

In her new position, Zabalawi is responsible for working with homeowners to select furniture and accessories; provide in-home design counsel, including floor plans, furniture placement and room designs; and the selling of home furnishings.

Zabalawi is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Prior to joining Gorman’s, she was employed as an intern at Blu Sol Design in Macomb.

Fluent in Arabic, the Rochester Hills resident was born and raised in Jordan. She attended Wayne State University, where she received a bachelor’s in interior design and art instruction. Zabalawi also received a bachelor’s in pharmacy at the Jordan University of Science and Technology.
