DETROIT — Founders Junior Council, a young professionals’ auxiliary of the Detroit Institute of Arts, announced today that its signature fundraiser, Fash Bash, will be returning this summer. Fash Bash is presented in partnership with Neiman Marcus and will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Detroit Institute of Art. Fash Bash 2013 proceeds will directly benefit the museum’s operating endowment, helping to ensure the Detroit Institute of Art’s long-term sustainability in our community.

Fash Bash will again take place at the museum following the success of last year’s record-breaking fundraising event. Guests will celebrate a sense of Detroit city chic on the steps of the Detroit Institute of Art and be treated to a one-of-a-kind evening of fashion, food, and fun. The evening will commence with a cocktail party on the steps of the Detroit Institute of Art, followed by the Neiman Marcus “Art of Fashion” show in the Detroit Imstitute of Art’s magnificent Great Hall, and close with late night dancing under the stars celebrating summer nights and city lights. Additional details to come.

Fash Bash chairpersons are Lindsay Cotton of Grosse Pointe Farms, Tara Grekin of Bloomfield Hills, Lindsay Moroun of Grosse Pointe Farms, and Lauren Rakolta of Birmingham. Honorary chairs are Ashley and K.C. Crain, Gretchen and Ethan Davidson, Anqunette Jamison and Richard Sarfoh, Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Eileen and Matt Kiriluk, Lexa Leatherdale and Robert Lane, and Melissa and Seth Meltzer.
