On June 23, the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn held its Induction and Awards Gala Ceremony at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center in Detroit. The awardees included Elwood Haynes (Haynes-Apperson Automobile Co.), Luca di Montezemolo (Ferrari S.p.A.), Roger Penske (Penske Corp.), Ratan N. Tata (Tata Motors), and Industry Leader of the Year Rodney O'Neal (Delphi).

Murals in the Market

Eastern Market Corp., along with 1xRun and Inner State Gallery, held a festival in Detroit's Eastern Market, inviting 45 artists to paint large-scale murals throughout the district from Sept. 17-25.
