Free TechTown forum helps Detroit entrepreneurs “get India right”

DETROIT, March 2, 2009 – TechTown’s offering Detroit entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to learn how to trade with India the right way.

The Indian Business Forum is a free quarterly meeting providing an opportunity to network with entrepreneurs doing business with India, one of the world’s largest trading partners. At the March meeting, attendees also get an introduction to The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), the world’s largest nonprofit organization for entrepreneurs.

The featured speakers at March’s event, Gurinder J. Singh and Varchasvi Shankar, will teach attendees how to do business with India the right way. They’ll share their business experiences in India, plus must-know legal basics and entrepreneurial advice from the trenches. The event will close with a Q&A session.

Gurinder is also experienced in analyzing, drafting and negotiating various corporate documents, including purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, closing documents, loan documents, independent contractor agreements, supply agreements, escrow agreements, operating agreements and bylaws, among others.

Varchasvi will give a real-world account of his experiences in India plus practical advice to those looking to do business there.

Varchasvi worked as a consultant at Chrysler Corporation for more than 10 years before starting his company. He is the co-founder of V2Soft Inc, a Michigan-based global IT and engineering solutions company. In 2001, he took over the company as president and CEO, and the company began to see an exponential growth. Varchasvi originally hails from Mysore, Karnataka. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Mysore University and a Master of Science degree in Control Systems Engineering from West Virginia Institute of Technology.
