The University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU) has announced that its president and CEO Tiffany Ford was named Professional of the Year by the Michigan Credit Union League. Ford received her award at the Honor Awards Breakfast during the MCUL and CU Solutions Group’s Annual Convention and Exposition on June 9 in Traverse City.

“I am honored to receive the MCUL Professional of the Year Award and grateful to be part of the University of Michigan Credit Union, where our purpose is to amaze UMCU members, the community, and its team by working together for shared success,” says Ford. “I receive this award on behalf of the entire UMCU team, and so many of my colleagues and mentors who have inspired me throughout the years.”

The award recognizes an individual who has shown remarkable support of Michigan’s credit union movement during the past year. Ford was chosen for her continuous commitment to enhancing UMCU’s performance to better benefit its members, her dedication to cultivating a culture of learning and group problem solving across the organization, and her exceptional leadership at UMCU and in the community.

“Tiffany has incorporated the devotion to the credit union movement with exemplary leadership to create a culture dedicated to its members and building a successful credit union that will positively impact the community and team members for many years to come,” says Paul Kirsch, chairman of UMCU.
