Holli Targan, partner at Jaffe Raitt Heuer and Weiss PC in Southfield earned the 2018 Midwest Acquirers Association Industry Achievement Award.

Targan is a member of Jaffe’s board of directors and chairperson of Jaffe’s electronic payments group. She specializes in payments system law, counseling banks and fintech, merchant acquiring, electronic fund transfer, payment facilitator, and money transmitter businesses on contractual and compliance matters. She also handles payment company mergers and acquisitions.

Targan has served on boards of directors for nonprofit organizations, published articles, and made presentations at industry conferences. She has served as president of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), chairman of the ETA Government Relations Committee, and chairman of the ETA Certified Payments Professional Commission. She founded and is a past president of Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions, a national organization.

She earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
