Julia Libcke Named Chief Nursing Officer of McLaren Macomb

McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens today announced Julia M. Libcke as chief nursing officer of the 228-bed acute care hospital, where she will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to over 400 nurses.

 

“McLaren Macomb is a progressive organization, providing many unique and exciting opportunities for patient care services,” says Libcke. “I’m excited to join this hospital and work with a very caring and committed nursing staff.”

 

She has over 30 years of nursing experience, rising through the ranks of DMC’s Rehabilitiation Institute of Michigan in Detroit to become chief nursing officer before joining McLaren Macomb.

 

“The importance of our nurses’ role in providing quality patient care cannot be overstated,” says Tom Brisse, president and CEO of McLaren Macomb. “Julia can provide strong leadership to our nursing staff with a direct focus on patient care. Her extensive knowledge and experience will be a great asset to our leadership team.”

 

Libcke earned a bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of Michigan, a master’s of science in nursing from Oakland University, and a doctorate of nursing practice from Madonna University.
