AFB Hospitality Group Promotes Director of Operations, Hires General Manager

AFB Hospitality Group today announced the promotion of Keith Schofield to director of operations for all AFB Hospitality Group properties and the hiring of Lea Schofield as the new general manager of Bistro 82, HOUR Detroit Magazine’s 2017 Restaurant of the Year. Founded in 2013, AFB Hospitality Group owns and operates Bistro 82, The Morrie, and SCL.


Keith Schofield joined AFB Hospitality Group this February as the general manager of Bistro 82. He has more than 30 years of restaurant experience, with expertise in both front and back of house operations. Prior to AFB Hospitality Group, Schofield served as food and beverage director at MGM Grand Detroit, director of restaurant operations at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, and senior managing partner of the Matt Prentice Restaurant Group.


Lea Schofield has 25 years of hospitality experience, ranging from delis, corner bars, and fine dining venues. Her previous roles include managing several metro Detroit area restaurants for the Unique Restaurant Group and Roberts Restaurant Group (Café ML and Bill’s Eat & Drink). Schofield was named the 2015 Michigan Restaurant Manager of the Year by the Michigan Restaurant Association.
