Warner Norcross & Judd LLP Appoints New Partner

The law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has appointed Brian D. Wassom as a partner in its Southfield and Macomb offices. 

Prior to joining Warner Norcross, Wassom, of Shelby Township, practiced at Honigman where he led the firm’s social, mobile, and emerging media industry group. 

He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, where he co-chairs the Intellectual Property Committee, and the State Bar of Michigan, where he is a member of the Business Law Section’s Committee on Business Courts. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, American Bar Association, and the Macomb County Bar Association. He co-founded Christian Legal Aid of Southeastern Michigan, an advice clinic serving inner-city Detroit and Pontiac.

Wassom, who has been named a Top Lawyer by DBusiness magazine, has published more than 35 articles, essays, and other contributions to publications such as Forbes, Mashable, The Journal of Arts Management Law & Society, and others. He blogs regularly at Wassom.com, and Syngress recently published his first book, Augmented Reality Law, Privacy, and Ethics.

Wassom received his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
