College for Creative Studies Hires Associate Professor and Chair

Raphael Zammit has joined the Detroit-based College for Creative Studies as an associate professor and associate chair of transportation design for the Master of Fine Arts in transportation design program.

In his new position, Zammit will assist with managing the Master of Fine Arts degree program under the transportation design department. Zammit will have strategic and administration responsibilities in the department in addition to his faculty duties as associate professor.

Before joining the College for Creative Studies, Zammit was an associate professor at the University of Cincinnati's industrial design and transportation design departments. Before that, he worked in both the U.S. and Europe at General Motors, Hyundai, Porsche, and Volkswagen.

Zammit earned a Bachelor of Science in transportation design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in industrial design the from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in sculpture and digital media from the University of Cincinnati.
