Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss Names Associate Attorney

Michael Skoczylas has joined Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss PC as an associate in the firm’s Southfield office.

Skoczylas will focus his practice on tax law, specializing in the areas of individual, partnership, and corporate taxation, as well as estate planning. Previously, Skoczylas was an associate at Kerr Russell law firm in Detroit, where he was responsible for assisting in matters related to tax planning for corporate entities and individuals. He is also a certified public accountant.

Skoczylas, of Southfield, is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan, American Bar Association, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves as the treasurer for the Akiva Hebrew Day School.

 Skoczylas earned his Bachelor of Science from Yeshiva University and his juris doctorate from Wayne State University Law School.
