I-75, Lodge to Close for Weekend for M-1 Rail Project

A section of I-75 (Fisher Freeway) in Detroit, between I-75 (Chrysler Freeway) and M-10 (Lodge Freeway), will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday to allow construction workers to demolish the east half of the Woodward Avenue freeway overpass, as a part of the M-1 Rail project.

Northbound I-75 will be closed at the I-75/M-10 (Lodge Freeway)/Rosa Parks Boulevard shared ramp. The exit ramps from northbound I-75 to Clark and Livernois Avenue will remain open, but the entrance ramps will be closed. In addition, the eastbound I-96 and M-10 (Lodge Freeway) ramps to northbound I-75 will be closed. 

During the closure, northbound I-75 motorists will be detoured via westbound I-96 and eastbound I-94, to get back to northbound I-75.  One lane of traffic will remain open from northbound I-75 to M-10 for local traffic.  

Southbound motorists will be detoured via westbound I-94 to eastbound I-96 to get back to southbound I-75.  The ramp from northbound I-375 and southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) will be closed. The northbound and southbound M-10 ramps to southbound I-75 will be open.
