Henry Ford College Appoints New Director for M-TEC
Patricia A. Chatman
Henry Ford College has appointed Patricia A. Chatman as its new director of workforce and professional development for the college's Michigan Technical Education Center in Dearborn.
Chatman, of Clinton Township, has more than 20 years of experience in training and development, as well as in the non-profit sector. She began her career working for the State of Ohio Department of Health and Human Services before serving the United Cerebral Palsy of Metropolitan Detroit.
Additionally, Chatman worked in workforce development for Family and Neighborhood Services in Westland and as director of Good Will Industries of Greater Detroit. She founded Choices Supported Employment, her own company, which focused on underserved populations in the job market.
Chatman earned her undergraduate degree in human resources and development with a specialization in training and development from Oakalnd University, her master's in public policy and administration from Central Michigan University, and her doctorate in public policy and administration from Walden University in Minneapolis.
