SAN FRANCISCO — Comcast Spotlight Central Division, the advertising sales department of Comcast Cable, was presented with a 2015 Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators at the recent world conference in San Francisco. The Central Division spans 14 major markets including Detroit, Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, and Twin Cities.

The Gold Quill Awards, accredited as the most prestigious awards in the industry, recognize business communication excellence in driving results and employee engagement through effective execution. IABC is a global network comprised of more than 12,000 members in 100 chapters worldwide.

Recognized on stage for their internal communications and employee engagement program, the 2015 Roadmap to Success, was Comcast Spotlight’s Vice President of Field Communication Cindy Reberg, Central Division’s director of communication Cathi Hauck, and marketing communication specialists Erin Van Norman and Emily Michaels.

“The IABC Gold Quill competition is a true indication of strategic distinction; opposed to competing against other entrants, we are competing against the 7-point global scale of excellence.” Reberg says.

All entries were evaluated against IABC’s standard of excellence, and the feedback from this year’s evaluators indicated that the standard of work in this year’s awards was some of the best seen in recent years.
