SOUTHFIELD — Approximately 700 Federal-Mogul Corp. employees will move in September to the company’s new world headquarters in the former Blue Cross Blue Shield complex at 27300 West 11 Mile Rd. in Southfield following approval by the city council for a personal property tax exemption to help facilitate the relocation. The company is currently located at 26555 Northwestern Hwy. in Southfield.
Federal-Mogul anticipates making an investment of $7 million in computer equipment, furniture and fixtures, machinery and equipment at the new location. The building owner, American Landmark Properties, will also be investing an additional $8 million in tenant and area improvements. Federal-Mogul will occupy 180,000 square feet of space at the Metro Centre.
