PwC Names New Leaders to Detroit Office

DETROIT — PwC has added Amy Solek and Mike Sobolewski to its office in downtown Detroit.

Solek has been named as PwC’s new automotive sector tax leader. Solek brings a broad range of tax technical expertise, focusing on tax efficiency and risk mitigation for both large multinational companies and mid-cap businesses. She currently serves as the lead tax partner for a diversified range of U.S. clients, primarily for companies in automotive manufacturing, automotive supply, and industrial products. She  also serves as PwC’s tax accounting services leader for the state.

Solek of Rochester Hills earned her BBA in accounting from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in taxation from Walsh College.

Sobolewski, also of Rochester Hills, has been named market assurance leader. He was previously a partner in the firm’s private company services practice, serving local, national, and global clients in the automotive, manufacturing, and construction sectors. He also serves as PwC’s U.S. engineering and construction client service adviser and technical specialist.

He earned his  Bachelor of Science in accounting and his Master of Science in accounting from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants  and the Construction Financial Management Association; At-large National director and Detroit chapter president.
