JARC Names New President, Board Members for 2014-15

FARMINGTON HILLS — JARC, an organization serving people with disabilities, has named David Grand as its new president and elected its officers and board members for 2014-15.

Besides Grand of Ann Arbor, JARC’s new officers are: vice presidents Adam Cohen of Huntington Woods, Julie Hertzberg of Bloomfield Hills, and Lisa Pernick of Franklin; secretary, Dani Gillman of West Bloomfield; and treasurer, Janis Shulman of Farmington Hills.

Newly elected board members for their second 3-year term expiring in 2017 include Adam Becker of Bloomfield Hills; Amy Berlin of Huntington Woods; Marcy Colton of Farmington Hills; Dani Gillman of West Bloomfield and Jason Weiss of Novi. Cohen and  Shulman were also elected to a third 3-year term.

Rick Loewenstein, chief executive officer of JARC, thanked outgoing president Ronald Applebaum for “all of his hard work these past two years … helping to lead JARC and make us a better organization.”
