Gleaners Food Bank Names New Board of Directors

DETROIT — Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan has announced the election of Katy Locker, far left, Knight Foundation program director, to board chair for the food bank. In addition Ryan M. Hoyle, center, and Jason L. Paulateer have been named to its board of directors.

Hoyle, vice president of business development and talent acquisition for GalaxE.Solutions in Detroit will serve on the human resource and finance committees; Paulateer, PNC Bank vice president and market manager of Community Development Banking-Michigan will serve on the finance committee. The board chair is a two-year term renewed annually and the others serve three-year terms, with the option to renew for an additional three years.

Locker is a former board member and past chair of the Detroit Arts Market. The Detroit resident is also a German Marshal Fund Memorial Fellow and a graduate of Leadership Detroit Class XXVIII.

Hoyle came to Michigan from New Jersey in 2009 to open GalaxE’s Detroit office. The Troy resident is a board member for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit and a school board member for the Insight School of Michigan. He was recently named among the 2014 “30 in Their Thirites” honorees for DBusiness magazinein its September-October issue.

A past Gleaners volunteer, Paulateer, of Bloomfield Township, is a graduate of Leadership Michigan, and is the immediate past District Marshal and Local Treasurer of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He is a board member of Wedgwood Christian Services and Art of Leadership and serves on the Advisory Boards of Michigan Magnet Fund and the Economic Development Foundation.
