TEDxDetroit Conference at Gem Theatre in October

2003

WHAT: TEDxDetroit (www.tedxdetroit.com), an event locally organized to bring together regional leaders and share ideas worth spreading, will bring attendees to not one, but two notable Detroit venues: The Gem Theatre with an accompanying exclusive visit to the Grand Army of the Republic Building (GAR). These two locations set the stage for an intimate, all-day conference featuring local community and business leaders, entrepreneurs, musicians and artists. Taking place in iconic Detroit venues, the smaller-scale event will be a prelude to a larger 2013 TEDxDetroit (details to be announced in late 2012). All presentations on Oct. 26 will be live-streamed and available on YouTube following the event.

WHERE: The Gem Theatre, 333 Madison St., in downtown Detroit, an iconic location known for its beautiful architecture and rich history. During the event, conference attendees will take a short field trip to the GAR building, giving them a sneak peek at the dramatic refurbishment currently underway by Mindfield USA (www.mindfieldusa.com), a Detroit-based media production company.

WHEN: 8 am.-6 p.m. Oct. 26

WHO: The nearly 50 presenters, artists and musicians at TEDxDetroit will come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.  If you have ideas worth spreading and are interested in being a speaker, we welcome you to visit www.tedxdetroit.com and fill out the speaker submission form.
