The Women In Defense (WID) Michigan Chapter held an 18-hole scramble on July 23 at Cherry Creek Golf Course in Shelby Township to benefit the organization’s HORIZONS-Michigan scholarship program, which encourages females to pursue careers related to the national security and defense industries. The Community House's Bates Street Society Dinner

DBusiness Breakfast Series Featuring Jack Aronson

DBusiness magazine hosted a breakfast featuring Jack Aronson, the founder of Garden Fresh Gourmet and owner of Clinton Township-based Great Fresh Foods and Clean Planet Proteins, at the Great Lakes Culinary Center in Southfield on Feb. 2. Aronson shared his story of selling Garden Fresh Gourmet to Campbell Soup Co. and launching two new businesses.

Beyond Basics' 2016 Appreciation Dinner

On Jan. 27, Beyond Basics, a literacy based nonprofit that works in Detroit Public Schools which gets students reading at grade level within six weeks, held an appreciation dinner at a private residence in Oakland County. More than 60 people attended the strolling dinner.
