DETROIT – Sept. 1, 2010 – As metro Detroit saddles up for the Cattle Baron’s Ball in November, the American Cancer Society is launching a new pre-event leading up to the Ball. The Cattle Baron’s Shoot Out, presented by PVS Chemicals, will take place on Friday, Sept. 24, at The Huntsman Hunt Club in Dryden, Mich.
“The Shoot Out brings the spirit of Cattle Baron’s Ball to a whole new audience and offers yet another way to support the fight against cancer,” said Ron Pruette, chair of the 2010 Shoot Out. “This is a great opportunity to take clients out for an afternoon of camaraderie and networking with the area’s top executives and community leaders at a premier venue.”
Highlights of the day include sporting clays competitions, fly fishing and off-road driving. A buffet lunch and cocktail reception will conclude the day’s activities.
The Huntsman Hunt Club is a private shooting preserve situated on approximately 900 acres in Dryden, a quaint country town located an hour drive north of Detroit. Originally a working family farm with rolling pastures and wooded ponds, the club has grown into Michigan’s premier shooting preserve. The clubhouse features gourmet dining with an emphasis on wild game and a remarkable wine cellar.
