Farbman Group in Southfield Names Executive Vice President

Southfield’s Farbman Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm, promoted Ron Goldstone to executive vice president from senior vice president.

Goldstone, who has been with Farbman for 32 years, is now an executive at the firm, taking the lead for retail commercial real estate. He will also contribute to the strategic and business direction for the company.

With expertise in commercial real estate and an emphasis on creative reuse in the mid- to big-box sector involving sales, leasing, disposition, and site acquisitions for retailers and other creative uses, Goldstone works with private equity and real estate investment trust groups, state governments, and local municipalities.

He has represented high-profile clients including the private equity group that purchased Mervyn’s from Target. Goldstone successfully traded multiple Kmart units for Sears Holdings, as well as other Kmart locations for multiple private ownership groups, and was involved in the disposition of vacant Walt-Mart and Sam’s Club units. He has also worked with Altair Engineering, The Suburban Collection, Extended Stay Hotels, Buddy’s Pizza, Volunteers of America, Oakland Schools, and more.

Goldstone completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan.
