William Clay Ford Jr.

Executive Chairman, Chairman of the Board of Directors

Ford has been a member of the company’s board of directors since 1988 and has been chairman since Jan. 1, 1999. He also serves as chairman of the board’s Finance Committee and is a member of the Sustainability Committee. He served as CEO from October 2001 to September 2006. During his time in that position Ford, took the company from a $5.5 billion loss in 2001 to three straight years of profitability. Ford joined the company in 1979 as a product-planning analyst. He held a variety of positions in manufacturing, sales, marketing, product development, and finance. In 1983, Ford began a 12-month course of study as an Alfred P. Sloan fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ford is vice chairman of The Detroit Lions Inc. and a trustee of The Henry Ford. He was elected a Ford Motor Co. vice president in 1994, and is the great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford.


James P. Hackett

President and CEO 

Hackett, formerly a member of Ford’s board of directors and chairman of subsidiary Ford Smart Mobility LLC, was named to this position in May 2017. In partnership with Executive Chairman Bill Ford, Hackett is working to strengthen Ford’s automotive business and accelerate a strategic shift to capitalize on opportunities during a transformative period for the auto industry and in the broader mobility space. Earlier, as a member of the board of directors’ Sustainability and Innovation Committee, Hackett was actively involved with Ford’s senior leadership team in launching the Ford Smart Mobility plan. Hackett retired as CEO of office furniture manufacturer Steelcase in 2014 and served as the company’s vice chairman from 2014 to 2015. Prior to joining Ford, he was interim director of athletics at the University of Michigan.

James D. Farley Jr.

Executive Vice President, President, Global Markets

Farley is responsible for Ford’s business units in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and
Africa; and Asia Pacific. He also oversees the Lincoln Motor Co.; global marketing, sales and service; and the strategy and business model development for electrified and autonomous vehicles. He reports to Jim Hackett. Farley previously served as executive VP and president, Ford Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In that role he led Ford’s business transformation in Europe, executing
the plan to achieve profitable growth.

Joseph R. Hinrichs

Executive Vice President, President, Global Operations

Hinrichs is responsible for overseeing Ford’s global product development; manufacturing and labor affairs; quality; purchasing; and sustainability, environmental and safety engineering. He reports to Jim Hackett. Since 2012, Hinrichs served as executive vice president and president, The Americas, and was responsible for leading all aspects of Ford’s North American and South American business units. As group VP and president of Asia Pacific, Hinrichs oversaw the construction of nine new plants.

Marcy Klevorn

Executive Vice President, President, Mobility

Klevorn is responsible for Ford Smart Mobility LLC, which was formed in 2016 to accelerate the company’s plans to design, build, grow, and invest in emerging mobility services, information technology and global data, insight, and analytics. She reports to Jim Hackett. As group VP, information technology and CIO, Klevorn oversaw the complete transformation of the company’s IT tools and talent, putting Ford in the forefront of technology companies globally. Klevorn has spent her entire Ford career in IT.

Robert L. Shanks

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Shanks has overall responsibility for Ford’s financial operations, including the controller’s office, treasury, and investor relations. He previously served as the company’s VP and controller. Shanks was elected VP, operations support, finance and strategy, Ford of Europe and Premier Automotive Group, in 2004. In that position, he led financial methodology, processes, best practices, and synergies between the two entities. He also was Mazda Motor Corp.’s chief financial officer.

Hau Thai-Tang

Executive Vice President, Product Development and Purchasing

Thai-Tang has global responsibility for overseeing all aspects of Ford’s design, engineering, research, product development, and purchasing operations. He reports to Joe Hinrichs. Thai-Tang most recently was group VP, global purchasing, responsible for more than $100 billion in annual spending.  He has spent more than 25 years in product development. As VP, engineering, for global product development, he directed all global engineering for car, truck, SUV ,and crossover vehicles for the Ford and Lincoln brands.

Steven Armstrong

Group Vice President, President, Europe, Middle East and Africa

Armstrong leads Ford’s European and Middle East and Africa business units, executing the One Ford plan to achieve profitable growth. He continues as a member of the Ford Sollers and Ford Otosan boards of directors, where he has served since Oct. 1, 2016. Before being named to his new role in June 2017, Armstrong was VP and COO, Ford of Europe, where he oversaw manufacturing, quality, product development, purchasing, sustainability, environment, and safety engineering.

Joy Falotico

Group Vice President, President, Lincoln Motor Co., Chief Marketing Officer

Falotico was appointed to these positions on March 1, 2018. She succeeds Musa Tariq, who left the company. Falotico is responsible for leading the continued evolution of Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and oversees all Lincoln operations globally. She reports to Jim Farley. Previously, Falotico was chairman and CEO of Ford Motor Credit Co., and has been a group vice president of Ford Motor Co. since 2016. She continues as chairman of the Ford Motor Credit board of directors.

Peter Fleet

Executive Vice President, President, Asia Pacific

Fleet leads all of Ford’s operations and partnerships in Asia, including Lincoln, the Ford China import business, Ford’s passenger car joint venture Changan Ford, and investment with Jiangling Motors Corp. He serves as interim chairman and CEO of Ford China, succeeding Jason Luo, who left the company. Earlier in his career, Fleet was VP, sales, Ford of Europe and president of Ford ASEAN, based in Bangkok, where he led the integrated operations across Ford’s Southeast Asia markets.

Kumar Galhotra

Group Vice President, President, Ford North America

Effective March 1, 2018, Galhotra is responsible for leading all aspects of Ford’s North American business. He succeeds Raj Nair, who left the company. Previously, Galhotra was group VP of Lincoln, overseeing all Lincoln operations globally. He also led the company’s marketing function and efforts to connect more closely with customers.  Galhotra’s focus includes shifting investments toward product categories that play to Ford Motor Co.’s strengths, and developing more effective brand communications.

Bradley M. Gayton

Group Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel

Gayton leads Ford’s litigation, tax, corporate, and intellectual property efforts. He also advises the company’s board of directors and senior management on a wide range of legal issues, and oversees the general auditor’s office. Gayton had been VP and general counsel since January 2016. He was appointed group VP in 2017 and added Ford Land and Corporate Services efforts to his oversight. He reports to Jim Hackett. Previously, he was corporate secretary and assistant general counsel.

Gary Johnson

Group Vice President, Manufacturing and Labor Affairs

Johnson was appointed to this role in October 2018 and is responsible for the operations of Ford’s worldwide assembly, stamping, and powertrain plants. He also leads the company’s global engineering support for stamping, vehicle and powertrain manufacturing, as well as Ford’s material planning and logistics, Ford production system, manufacturing business office, and labor affairs organizations. Previously, Johnson served as VP of North America manufacturing and was responsible for more than 30 plants.

Kimberly Pittel

Group Vice President, Sustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering

Pittel is responsible for the continued development and implementation of the Ford’s global environment and safety strategy, policy and performance, and its “Blueprint for Sustainability.” Before that, she was VP, sustainability, environment and safety engineering. Pittel also served as executive director, global supplier technical assistance, and was responsible for establishing product launch and supplier quality processes to improve vehicle quality. She began her career at Ford in 1985.

Kiersten Robinson

Group Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer

Robinson assumed this role in April 2018. She oversees all global people processes including talent management, workforce planning, learning and development, recruiting, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, and the dealer policy board. As the senior leader and corporate officer overseeing people processes globally, Robinson ensures the development and execution of business strategies that reflect the global business environment and customer and market needs. She reports to Jim Hackett.

Paul Ballew

Vice President, Global Chief Data and Analytics Officer

Ballew leads Ford’s global data and analytics teams. He served as global chief data and analytics officer since December 2014, with the responsibility for establishing and growing the company’s data and analytics operations. Before joining Ford, Ballew worked at Dun & Bradstreet and was responsible for the firm’s global data and analytic activities and strategic consulting practice. Previously, he was senior VP for customer insight and analytics at Nationwide Insurance, and was GM’s executive director for global market analysis.

Birgit A. Behrendt

Vice President, Joint Ventures, Alliances and Commercial Affairs, Ford of Europe

Behrendt is responsible for all European joint ventures and alliances, including the development of new arrangements to support the company’s business growth. Before this, she served as VP of global powertrain purchasing and global purchasing operations.From April 2008 through July 2010, Behrendt was vice president, purchasing, Ford of Europe, and executive director, global programs. She was among the 2015 Powered by Women honorees recognized by DBusiness Magazine.

Joerg Beyer

Executive Director, Product Development, Ford of Europe

Named to this position when Joseph Bakaj retired Dec. 31, 2018, Beyer is responsible for all product programs for Ford’s European operations. He was executive engineering director for Ford of Europe, and has more than 29 years of experience with Ford. Since joining the company in 1990, he has had a variety of product development roles at every Ford development center around the world, was vehicle line director for global small cars, and chief engineer for the current Fiesta.

Moray Callum

Vice President, Design

Callum leads the design of all concept and production vehicles for the Ford and Lincoln brands worldwide. Previously, as executive director, design, The Americas, he had overall responsibility for the design of all cars and trucks created in Ford’s North and South America studios and the new Lincoln products, including the Ford Fusion, Explorer, Mustang, EcoSport, and Lincoln MKZ. From 2001 to 2006, Callum led the design transformation at Mazda that resulted in a new generation of vehicles.

Linda Cash

Vice President, Quality and New Model Launch

Cash is responsible for driving quality processes throughout the design and production of Ford vehicles and for new model launches globally, ensuring alignment throughout the various business operations. She has been VP of manufacturing and director of vehicle operations at Ford of Europe,  plant manager of the Michigan truck assembly facility, chief engineer for final assembly  for vehicle operations  in manufacturing  engineering, and director of manufacturing engineering.

Roelant De Waard

Vice President, Marketing, Sales, and Service, Ford of Europe

De Waard has overseen all marketing, sales, and service personnel and activities in European markets since January 2011. From January 2009, as vice president of sales, Ford of Europe, he was responsible for 49 markets, including the UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Russia. Earlier, de Waard was chairman and managing director of Ford of Britain and vice president, Europe, Ford Customer Service Division. He joined Ford Netherlands in 1990 and served as a sales manager and marketing manager.

Bill Dirksen

Vice President, Labor Affairs

Dirksen oversees global labor policy and negotiations covering Ford’s approximately 140,000 union employees. He is also responsible for hourly employee health care management and the company’s collective bargaining with unions worldwide. Previously, Dirksen served as executive director, U.S. labor affairs, and played a key role in leading the company’s negotiations with the UAW. Dirksen joined Ford in 1985 and has served as the senior human resources leader in Ford Credit.

Lisa Drake

Vice President, Global Powertrain Purchasing Operations

Drake is responsible for all powertrain purchasing operations worldwide, and global operational purchasing performance. She joined purchasing in 2013 as director, global program purchasing and was named director, global interior purchasing, in August 2016. Drake also held various positions in product development for nearly 20 years, including leading the F-150 product and launch team during the construction of the Dearborn truck plant at the Ford Rouge Center. She served as the global hybrid and battery electric vehicle chief engineer.

David Filipe

Vice President, Powertrain Engineering

Filipe is responsible for worldwide powertrain engineering and reports to Hau Thai-Tang. Previously, as vehicle line director, North America trucks, large SUVs, and commercial vehicles, Felipe was responsible for the development and launch of the 2017 Super Duty pickup truck, the 2018 Ford F-150, and the 2018 Expedition. Past roles include director of global engine engineering, where he was responsible for the design and development of Ford gasoline and diesel engines, and director of transmission and driveline engineering.

Elena A. Ford

Chief Customer Experience Officer

Appointed on Oct. 15, 2018, Ford leads the organization responsible for creating a world-class customer experience throughout the entire ownership cycle. She reports to Joe Hinrichs. The realignment of customer experience under global operations allows Ford to work with the company’s Customer Service Division and quality organization to create and implement a world-class customer experience. She will continue to be closely integrated with the sales and marketing organization and global dealer network.

Nigel Harris

Vice President, President, Changan Ford Automobile Corp. Ltd.

Harris is responsible for leading Changan Ford’s operations, which include the manufacturing, marketing, selling,
and servicing of Ford products, including the Ford Focus, Escort, Mondeo, Taurus, EcoSport Kuga, and Edge. Since February 2014, Harris served as managing director and president at Ford India,and was responsible for managing and growing the unit’s integrated manufacturing operation, leading product programs in India, and growing the export business. He is based in Chongqing, China.

Jim Holland

Vice President, Vehicle Component and System Engineering

Holland has global responsibility for vehicle component and system engineering for Ford and Lincoln vehicles. His role is central to the company’s commitment to developing vehicles with top quality, fuel efficiency, safety, smart technology, and value. During his more than 30 years with Ford, Holland has held various positions as car and truck vehicle line director, Ford Asia Pacific, and chief program engineer for the Range Rover vehicle line within Land Rover, which was previously part of Ford Motor Co.

Burt Jordan

Vice President, Global Vehicle & Indirect Purchasing and Supply Chain Sustainability

Jordan is responsible for global body exterior, body interior, chassis, and electrical systems procurement, along with all global indirect purchasing and supplier diversity development. He reports to Hau Thai-Tang. He was VP, global vehicle and powertrain purchasing and supplier diversity. Prior to that, he was director, purchasing, Ford Asia Pacific and Africa, where he managed overall purchasing activities for operations in Australia, India, South Africa, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Mark LaNeve

Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service

LaNeve is responsible for all marketing, sales, service, customer care, and dealer relations for the Ford and Lincoln brands. He is focused on continuing to build the Ford brand through innovative new digital communications and transforming the retail experience. Before joining Ford, LaNeve was COO of Global Team Blue, the company’s marketing and advertising agency. He has also served as senior executive VP and chief marketing officer at Allstate Insurance, and had leadership roles at GM and Volvo Cars.

John Lawler

Vice President, Strategy

Appointed on March 1, 2018, Lawler supports Jim Hackett in advancing the global initiatives underway to dramatically improve the company’s operational fitness. He will also help lead the company’s execution of strategic choices that define where Ford allocates capital in the future. Previously, Lawler served as Ford VP and controller and as chairman and CEO of Ford China. He joined Ford in 1990, serving in a variety of roles including controller in Ford of Europe’s product development organization.

Jeff Lemmer

Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Effective June 1, 2018, Lemmer oversees Ford’s global IT business applications, architecture, data centers, engineering, and infrastructure services. He joined Ford in 1987 and has spent his entire career in IT with the company, serving in leadership positions at Ford Motor Co. and Ford Credit. He was most recently Ford’s VP and COO of IT, where he led the development of automotive-related applications and ran day-to-day operations. He oversaw the design and construction of two new data centers.

Sherif Marakby

President, CEO, Ford Autonomous Vehicles LLC

Effective July 14, 2018, Marakby reports to a board of directors chaired by Marcy Klevorn. He joined Ford in 1990 and has served in a variety of positions in product development throughout North America and Europe. One such position was vehicle line director of all C-size cars globally, including the Escape, Focus and C-MAX. Marakby worked in plant vehicle teams for several years, delivering significant quality and financial improvement to the business at two vehicle-manufacturing plants.

Curt Magleby

Vice President, U.S. Government  and Community Relations (interim)

Magleby assumes the responsibilities of Ziad Ojakli, who left the company in July 2018, and Stephen Biegun, who retired the following month. He is based in Washington, D.C., and engages with policymakers on a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues. He oversees Ford’s federal, state, and local government affairs. In addition, Magleby oversees the company’s philanthropic arm, Ford Fund, and chairs Ford’s Political Action Committee. Before, he was director, state and local government relations.

David McClelland

Vice President, Chief Executive Officer, Ford Motor Credit Co.

Effective March 1, 2018, McClelland has global responsibility for Ford Credit, which provides dealer and customer financing and service in support of Ford vehicle sales around the world. Prior to this, he was Ford Credit executive vice president of marketing and Asia Pacific, overseeing global marketing and Ford Credit’s business in China and India as well as support of Ford sales across Asia Pacific. Earlier, as VP of quality and process management, McClelland was responsible for global quality and technology applications.

Cathy O’Callaghan

Vice President, Corporate Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Global Markets

Appointed June 1, 2018, O’Callaghan had served as chief financial officer, Ford South America, since 2015. In that position she was responsible for all Ford finance activities in Ford South America. Prior to that, O’Callaghan held a number of key leadership positions at Ford of Europe, including finance director for product development, controller of European manufacturing operations and logistics, finance director of Ford of Britain, and finance director of Ford Switzerland. She joined Ford in 1990.

Mark Ovenden

Vice President, President, Middle East and Africa

Effective June 1, 2018, Ovenden is responsible for the growth of this key region that includes operations in more than 70 markets. Previously, he served as VP of marketing, sales and service, Asia Pacific. Ovenden was instrumental in developing the company’s National Distribution Services Division in China and the China Brand Plan. He also served as president and chief executive officer of the company’s Ford Sollers joint venture in Russia, where he led the transformation of Ford’s operations there.

Graham Pearson

Vice President, Product Development, Asia Pacific and China

Appointed to his position on Dec. 10, 2018, Pearson is responsible for bringing 50 new vehicles and powertrains to the Asia Pacific region by 2025. During his 31-year career with Ford, he has served in a variety of product development positions in China, Australia, and the U.S., and has worked extensively across India, Thailand and other markets. Previously, he was vehicle line director, Cars and SUVs for Ford Asia Pacific.

Stuart Rowley

Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Ford North America

Effective March 1, 2018, Rowley is responsible for driving the redesign of the North American business to improve its overall fitness. He reports to Kumar Galhotra, group vice president and president, Ford North America. Rowley had been vice president of strategy since 2016. In that position, Rowley played a leading role in Ford’s growth. He also served as vice president and controller of Ford; CFO of Ford of Europe, and CFO and senior vice president of Volvo Car Corp. in Gothenburg, Sweden.

John Savona

Vice President, North American Manufacturing

Appointed Oct. 15, 2018, Savona is responsible for Ford’s North American manufacturing. Previously, as Ford’s director of global manufacturing quality, he was responsible for ensuring continuous quality improvement in the company’s worldwide manufacturing facilities. Savona began his career with Ford in 1989 as a security officer at the company’s Wayne, Mich., assembly plant after three years of service in the U.S. Army. He has a Bachelor of Science in criminology from Eastern Michigan University.

Brian Schaaf

Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Ford Motor Credit Co.

Since March 2018, Schaaf has been responsible for Ford Credit financial planning, analysis, accounting, and capital strategy. He works closely with Ford Treasury on funding and liquidity initiatives and maintains relationships with financial analysts and rating agencies. Prior to this role, Schaaf was controller of Ford Global Purchasing. Earlier, he was assistant treasurer, general auditor, corporate business development director, finance director, controller, and in various financial analysis and business strategy roles.

Frederiek Toney

Vice President, President, Global Ford Customer Service Division

Toney works with hundreds of Ford dealerships around the world. He joined Ford in 2000 and has held leadership positions in logistics, operations, and parts and service. Most recently, he served as executive director, global material planning and logistics. Before joining Ford, Toney spent 23 years in management at Caterpillar Inc. and American Honda Motor Co. In 2012, Black Enterprise magazine named Toney one of the 100 Most Powerful Executives in America. He has an MBA from the University of La Verne.

Mark Truby

Vice President, Communications

Truby leads Ford’s global communications and public relations activities, including building the company’s reputation globally. He reports to Bill Ford. Truby joined Ford in 2007 as director of global corporate communications. He has also served as communications director for Bill Ford; vice president, Communications, Ford Europe, Middle East and Africa; and most recently, vice president, Communications, Ford Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Ford, Truby was a  business reporter and editor at The Detroit News.

Ken Washington

Vice President, Research and Advanced Engineering, Chief Technical Officer

Washington heads Ford’s worldwide research organization, overseeing the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy and plans, and playing a key role in the company’s expansion into emerging mobility opportunities. He reports to Jim Hackett. Before joining Ford, Washington was VP of the Advanced Technology Center at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. in California. He was responsible for leading an organization of approximately 700 scientists and engineers.

Lyle Watters

Vice President, President, Ford South America

Watters is responsible for all Ford operations in South America. Before this, he was CFO and vice president, finance and strategic planning, for Ford of Europe. He has been a member of the boards of directors of Ford Otosan and Ford Sollers since April 2012. Prior to his job in Europe, he was chief financial officer, Ford South America. Before that, Watters was director of business strategy at Ford of Europe, and was responsible for business development and strategic planning.

David Webb

Vice President, Treasurer

Named to replace Kenneth R. Kent, who retired Dec. 31, 2018, Webb is responsible for the company’s overall treasury operations. He reports to Bob Shanks. Previously, he was assistant treasurer, director of global debt capital markets and securitization, director of global risk management, and director of financial strategy. He joined Ford in 2003, has an economics degree from Wheaton college and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Dale Wishnousky

Vice President, Manufacturing, Ford of Europe

Wishnousky most recently served as the director of the global manufacturing business office. Earlier positions included director, manufacturing, North America truck and director, vehicle operations, Ford of Europe, where he was responsible for the manufacturing operations of nine assembly facilities. He also held plant manager positions, including at Kansas City Assembly, where he led the team to achieve significant improvements in safety culture, quality, and productivity for the F-Series and Escape.

Trevor Worthington

Vice President, Global Product Development and Vehicle Operations

Named to his position on Dec. 10, 2018, Worthington reports to Hau Thai-Tang and leads Ford’s global vehicle programs and is responsible for coordinating the company’s product development resources to bring new products to market. Previously, he was vice president of Product Development for the Asia Pacific region where he spearheaded the introduction of key nameplates like the Territory midsize SUV, Focus, and Escort to China.

Anning Chen

President and CEO, Ford China

Appointed Nov. 1, 2018, Chen reports to Jim Farley. He leads the company’s operations in greater China, including all import and joint venture operations. Chen is a 25-year industry veteran with extensive expertise in leading transformation efforts, establishing alliances and joint ventures, and developing competitive products for China. Most recently, he was CEO of Chery Automobile LTD, China, as well as chairman of the board of directors for Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive, China.
