Detroit-based Kraemer Design Group, a high-end architecture, interior design, and creative firm, has announced the promotion of Jennifer Dwyer to interior design lead and Kevin Gurtowsky to project architect.
“Jennifer and Kevin have made tremendous contributions to our project portfolio since joining the firm, and we are pleased to recognize that with these elevated positions on our team,” says Bob Kraemer, co-founder and principal. “Their eagerness to continue learning in our industry is in line with our firm’s outovation—thinking in new and different ways to deliver amazing work. As we embrace more diverse projects in Detroit and other great cities, the knowledge Jennifer and Kevin bring to our team will be essential.”

After relocating from western New York, and graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree specializing in interior design, Dwyer has been an interior designer with KDG since 2014. She worked as part of the project team on the historic adaptive re-use of the Vinton Building in Detroit. Dwyer also worked on the 28 Grand microlofts project where she facilitated the design and construction of the millwork in each unit and the furniture specification in the community spaces. She holds National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and LEED Green Associate certifications.
A native to southeast Michigan, Gurtowsky is a two-time graduate of Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning at the University of Michigan where he earned a master’s degree in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in 2009, both in architecture. For projects like the Elliott Building, the David Stott Building, and a number of other commercial projects, Gurtowsky has worked as part of the project team. He is certified through the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Currently he is one of 16 architect scholars in the inaugural cohort of AIA Detroit’s Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program.
