Big Boy Restaurants International LLC

Warren-based Big Boy Restaurants International LLC has announced David Crawford chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1. Crawford replaces Keith Sirois, who retired at the end of 2017.

“Big Boy has been an iconic brand for the past 82 years, and I am honored to have been selected to lead the brand,” says Crawford.  “To me, Big Boy is so much more than a restaurant – it’s an experience that brings generations together around great food and great service.”

Prior to his new position, Crawford was the chief marketing officer and senior vice president of manufacturing. He began at Big Boy in 2009 after having amassed an extensive restaurant background during his tenures at Outback Steakhouse, Denny’s, and Checkers and Rally’s.

“For the past nine years, David has been an integral part of this brand, and it was the right time to elevate his role to oversee the entire business,” says Robert Liggett Jr., owner of Big Boy since 2000.

“It is my vision to operate ‘best in class’ restaurants in the family dining category by focusing on great food, hospitality, and cleanliness,” says Crawford. “The way that we achieve this goal is to focus on the principles that our founder Bob Wian started in 1936 with Bob’s Pantry in Glendale, California.”

The company operates and franchises 84 Big Boy, Bob’s Big Boy, and Big Boy’s Burgers and Shakes restaurants in Michigan, Ohio, California, and North Dakota.
