Northville-based academy of early education, The Learning Experience, has named Melissa Kerley as their center director. A Northville-native with 13 years of childhood education experience, Kerley was pleased to work in the city in where she grew up in.

“Melissa embodies both the academic degrees and the personality traits that combined, create an ideal Center Director,” says Katie Schulz, owner and business manager of The Learning Experience in Northville. “I look forward to working with her hand-in-hand as we continue to impact the future of Northville, one child at a time.”

During Kerley’s tenure, the center has seen a significant growth in student enrollment, attributed to her key focus of striving for the highest quality. Additionally, Kerley has contributed to increasing the center’s involvement in community activities.

The Learning Experience places a prominent focus on programs that advance scholastic preparation. The center prepares children academically and socially via innovative scholastic and enrichment programs such as the L.E.A.P. curriculum, a proprietary approach to learning which has 9 out of 10 of its children entering kindergarten already reading.
