Former District Court Judge Jodi Debbrecht Switalski, has joined Southeast Michigan-based Lippitt O’Keefe Gornbein PLLC as an attorney focused on legal issues related to abuse.

“Jodi Switalski will provide Lippitt O’Keefe Gornbein and our clients with invaluable counsel over a broad spectrum of medical issues related to opioid abuse,” says Brian O’Keefe, a founding partner of the law firm. “She is recognized as a pioneer and multi-disciplinary expert in the field of substance abuse and addiction.”

A legal expert in the field of substance abuse and addiction, Switalski served as a Michigan district court judge from 2010 to 2016 and was previously an assistant prosecuting attorney in Macomb County.

Switalksi is a frequent speaker at major universities, medical groups, and community organizations and recently spoke at Harvard Medical School’s International Conference and was a panelist at Boston University’s Scope of Pain program for doctors and medical professionals. A native of Columbia, Missouri, Switalski is a graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Law.
