Matthew Prince has been named senior project manager and Courtney Chin as technical designer at Stantec, in the architecture and engineering firm's Berkley office.

Previously, Prince, with more than 15 years of experience, served as a vice president of architecture, leading a large team of architects, designers, planners and support staff at Stantec. He also founded an award-winning architecture firm that specialized in commercial, religious, and community-based design in Michigan.

Prince, of Brighton, earned his bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Previously, Chin was an intern at Hamilton Anderson Associates in Detroit.

As a technical designer, she will provide architectural design support to project teams, including space planning and coordination with a building program, interpretation of building codes, and coordination of building systems.

Chin, of Hamtramck, received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Michigan, respectively.
