National Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, Martha Stewart, and Mark Kelly, a retired astronaut, will headline the FUEL: Detroit 2016 conference, to be held at the Sound Board inside the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit on April 21.

“FUEL: Detroit harnesses the high-profile horsepower of the nation’s top achievers, and provides current and future leaders with a flurry of actionable tips, tactics, and true stories to motivate them to aim higher and exceed their goals,” says Josh Linkner, chairman and co-founder of FUEL Leadership.

Linkner says other speakers include Marcus Buckingham, a New York Times bestselling author on employee productivity and management practices; Jacques Panis, president of Detroit-based Shinola; and Mitch Albom, Detroit Free Press columnist and best selling author, along with other speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Detroit is making national headlines as the country’s comeback city, and has become an epicenter of progress, ingenuity, and opportunity,” says Dave Zilko, CEO of FUEL Leadership. “FUEL: Detroit 2016 is perfectly positioned to harness this energy by bringing local and national thought leaders together for a high impact day of inspiration and transformation.”

WJR 760-AM morning show host Paul W. Smith will emcee the daylong event.

At last year’s inaugural FUEL: Detroit conference, Jessica Alba, founder of The Honest Co., and Mark Fields, president and CEO of Ford Motor Co., and Magic Johnson, among others, spoke.
