Hepta Control Systems in Detroit has been named “Integrator of the Year,” an award for building automation companies, after earning the honor at the ControlTrends Awards this year in Orlando, Fla.
“We take on the projects that keep our company ahead of the pack, and we are the ones who strive to evolve first,” says Ted Houck, president and CEO of Hepta Control Systems. “But our goals are much greater than just being the best in the industry, our sights are set beyond buildings and high-rises.”
ControlTrends created the category to acknowledge companies that are pushing the boundaries and raising the bar within the industry. Finalists in this category were located around the nation ranging from Seattle to New York.
Houck says the award confirms the international company’s drive to diversify its business and that HCS takes its system integrations to uncharted territories by developing and implementing new, cutting edge technologies.
According to the company, the HCS team has plans to continue its growth and targets different areas of business in order to expand their knowledge and capabilities. Also, HCS has played a role in the completion of the Quicken Loans Technology Center, which presented the challenge to fully integrate all of the disparate technologies and equipment within a data center.
HCS has integrated over seven million square feet within new and landmark buildings downtown, many owned by Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock Real Estate Services.
