DEARBORN — The Henry hotel announced today that it has been named the “Best Hotel in Michigan” by U.S. News & World Report. The announcement was made by The Henry general manager Joseph Shurmur.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings are unbiased and span a range of products, services, and categories. Making the list is viewed as a major accomplishment but earning the top spot means The Henry is the “Best of the Best”.

When compiling the list, U.S. News & World Report editors analyzed recommendations from many sources, comparing reviews, accolades, and guest ratings for nearly 2,000 luxury hotels throughout the United States.

In its story regarding The Henry, U.S. News & World Report says, “Guests frequently praise the hotel’s prime setting, characterizing it as both safe and convenient to downtown Detroit. Along with the hotel’s location, guests also praise the clean, comfortable rooms, which boast Frette linens, marble bathrooms, and free Wi-Fi. If you’re not in the mood to venture beyond the hotel for meals, there’s TRIA, the on-site restaurant that serves up seasonal and organic American fare. Recent guests say the restaurant’s eats are delicious and well priced. When it’s time to burn off the calories, there’s a fitness center and an indoor pool. Recent guests give The Henry a solid review, citing its attentive service staff as friendly and knowledgeable. And because The Henry belongs to the Marriott clan, Marriott Rewards members can accumulate or cash in reward points here.”
