Identity Adds Two Account Executives

BINGHAM FARMS  Bingham Farms-based Identity, an integrated public relations firm, announced today that Whitney McGoram and Courtney Vaught have joined the firm as account executives. Identity Managing Partner Mark Winter made the announcement.

As account executives, McGoram and Vaught are responsible for developing effective media relations and marketing strategies for a range of Identity’s local and national clients.

Prior to joining Identity, McGoram spent three years in Washington, D.C., where she worked in communications at the U.S. Department of Transportation, followed by a position in marketing and public relations for the Independent Community Bankers of America. She began her career in campaign finance, performing fundraising and event management for gubernatorial and presidential candidates in New England.

McGoram earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston University, and her master’s degree in strategic public relations from The George Washington University.

Vaught served as director of social strategy and marketing for San Francisco-based start-up Traackr, Inc., where she managed all social channels for the company and drove community engagement and marketing efforts. Previously, Vaught held the title of account coordinator for Eisbrenner Public Relations in Troy. In this role, she supported client activities and increased their visibility through media relations efforts.

Vaught earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Michigan State University, with specializations in public relations and dance.
