A Sunday afternoon spent sipping varietals from California, Italy, and France, munching on fine pastries, the sunlight reflecting off the hood of a vintage Shelby. Is there anything better? The Garden Party is creating such a pleasant affair guaranteed to be pleasing to the eye, the palate, and for its charitable aspect- pleasing to the soul.
A benefit for the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, Children’s Tumor Foundation, and Oakland Community College’s Culinary Studies Institute is being hosted from 1-4 p.m. June 9 on the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester. The Garden Party, sponsored by Great Lakes Wine & Spirits, will feature fare from more than 30 of Michigan’s best restaurants paired with 100 of the finest wines. Tickets cost $150 per person with guests enjoying fine food and wine, classic cars, and live entertainment. The attire is Garden Party chic.
