TROY — Linda Orlans, CEO of eTitle Agency, Inc., and principal of Orlans Associates, was named Business Woman of the Year and awarded one of three Sam Cupp Impact Awards from Winning Futures during a ceremony held on Feb. 9 at The Big Rock Reserve in Birmingham.

Orlans was selected from a group of finalists in recognition of her business leadership and philanthropic efforts.

“I am so honored to receive this award,” Orlans said. “I admire the work ethic and community spirit embodied by Sam Cupp and will continue to do my best to reflect these values in my life in hopes of positively impacting others.”

The Impact Award was developed as a tribute to Sam Cupp, founder of Winning Futures, which helps local youth through mentoring, goal setting, strategic planning, and scholarship programs. It is awarded to those whose work and personal lives reflect the values held by him.

Orlans, a successful attorney and entrepreneur, has launched and grown a successful enterprise of companies with more than 700 employees that reaches several states.

The current roster of Orlans’ community activities includes serving on the board of directors at the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Inforum Center for Leadership, and Beaumont Hospital’s First Words Society of which she is also the founder. She contributes to the advisory boards of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan and Beyond Basics. She also serves on the board of trustees and on several committees at the Michigan State University College of Law.
