AFPD Trade Ball at Suburban Collection Showplace

The Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers held its Trade Dinner and Ball at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. Nearly 1,000 guests attended the event, which included an address by AFPD President and CEO, Auday Arabo.

Above and Beyond Awards 2017

The Detroit Public Safety Foundation hosted the fifth annual Above and Beyond Awards Ceremony on Nov. 30 at the Renaissance Ballroom at the Detroit Marriott Hotel to recognize first responders and civilians for their service to the City of Detroit. Members of the Detroit Police, Fire, and EMS Departments received Medals of Valor and Purple Heart awards and guests also enjoyed a cocktail reception and dinner.

Great Futures Gala 2017

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan hosted the Great Futures Gala at the Detroit Athletic Club on Dec. 6 to celebrate the group's 91st anniversary and honor David T. Fischer (nominated to be U.S. Ambassador to Morocco) for his work in the community. Guests enjoyed a reception featuring Housing and Urban Design Secretary Dr. Benjamin Carson, Sr., remarks by Dr. Carson and Fischer, CEO of The Suburban Collection in Troy, and a gourmet dinner.

Salvation Army Sing-a-Long 2017

The Salvation Army, a nationwide non-profit dedicated to serving the poor, hosted the annual Sing Along at the London Chop House in Detroit on Dec. 7. Guests enjoyed lunch and sang Christmas carols to support the Salvation Army's Red Kettle fundraising campaign.
