DETROIT — Bizdom U, a  Detroit-based non-profit and entrepreneurship accelerator founded by Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert, and The Mobile Technology Association of Michigan (MTAT) will come together Monday, Feb. 27 to host a “Mobile Matchup.” Much like speed dating, the matchup will connect attendees with those who could potentially fulfill business needs.

Bizdom U trains, mentors, and funds aspiring entrepreneurs to launch and grow successful businesses located within the Detroit city limits. MTAM is a trade association that seeks to create demand for Michigan-based mobile/wireless industry products and services, thereby increasing entrepreneurial and enterprise-level opportunities and creating sustainable jobs inside and outside the industry.

The two companies will help to create contacts at the matchup through engaging attendees with many prospective matches in three minute conversations followed by open networking. This event is free and open to the public; however the premise of the “Mobile Matchup” is to cultivate conversations and relationships between entrepreneurs and mobile developers.

“Entrepreneurial growth is a key to Detroit’s resurgence. A significant way to encourage entrepreneurial growth is by fostering connections between budding startups and the city’s emerging technology hub. Bizdom U and MTAM, have a shared vision for harnessing the city’s brain gain, and this event is a perfect opportunity to utilize creative talent and advance relationships that will ultimately result in business opportunities,” says  Alise Irvine of Quicken Loans.

Matchups will run from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, followed by open networking.
