2015 Jolly Pumpkin Media Preview Event

The Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria and Brewery located in Detroit's Midtown district will open to the public next month. The 5,000 square feet space is filled with large picnic tables for communal dining. The menu features gourmet pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, along with a full bar with more than 30 taps.

2015 Fellow Barber Midtown Opening

Fellow Barber, a Brooklyn-based collective of traditional barbershops and apothecaries, held its opening at 441 W. Canfield St. in Midtown, Detroit on Saturday, Feb. 28. The event included cut and shave services, appetizers, cocktails, and a DJ.

2015 Cirque: Empire

Celebrating their 50th year, the Founder's Junior Council of the Detroit Institute of Arts presented Cirque: Empire on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the DIA in Detroit. Guests donned masks and enjoyed drinks and dancing with entertainment provided by DJ Darren Revell and Planet D Nonet, a swing band. The funds raised will benefit the DIA's weekly Drawing in the Galleries and rolling Art Carts programs.

6th Annual Detroit PAL MVP Awards Dinner

Detroit PAL, a nonprofit organization that helps children through academic and athletic development programs, held their annual MVP Awards Dinner on Feb. 26 at the Detroit Athletic Club. Detroit PAL announced their $15.5 million fundraising goal to redevelop Tiger Stadium into a new athletic field and PAL headquarters.

Designer Jamie Drake at Scott Shuptrine Interiors

Scott Shuptrine Interiors welcomed acclaimed designer Jamie Drake to its Royal Oak gallery on Feb. 25 to celebrate his collection for Theodore Alexander. Drake gave a presentation, while architects, interior designers, and home enthusiasts enjoyed refreshments and entertainment.
