Chrysler, GM & 28 other companies to offer 2,000-plus jobs at ESD’s Job Fair

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 1, 2011 — If there’s any good news emerging out of Michigan, it is the fact that for the first time in several years, Chrysler and General Motors will return to The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) Engineering & Technology Spring Job Fair along with 28 other companies to offer more than 2,000 jobs.

These jobs are in various fields of engineering, including software engineering, as well as IT, accounting, industrial sales and finance.

In addition to Chrysler and General Motors, the job fair will feature large and small companies, including GE Aviation; DASI Solutions; American Axle and Manufacturing; ALTe, LLC; Dow Corning; Durr Systems; Talascend; and many others.

The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) Career Expo is the premier recruiting events for those seeking full or part-time positions, or even internship opportunities. Students graduating this spring from Michigan universities are being encouraged to polish their resumes and attend this job fair for the opportunity to meet with high-level recruiters, land their dream job and stay right here in Michigan.

The job fair will take place at the Suburban Showplace in Novi on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 2 until 7 p.m.

For the first time ever, ESD members can attend the job fair free of charge. Non-members only pay only $15, which includes a one-year membership to ESD. Attendees are encouraged to bring several copies of their updated résumé and to take advantage of ESD’s Job Bank by entering their résumé free of charge.
