On Aug. 3, General Motors Co. presented Ideal Group, a manufacturing and contracting firm in southwest Detroit, with the GM Supplier of the Year award. The event, which drew 300 people, included tours of Cadillac Urban Gardens, where fruit and vegetables grown inside shipping containers are harvested and donated to the surrounding community. |
