BINGHAM FARMS — Carbon Media Group, a producer of digital content for outdoor enthusiasts with a network of more than 500 websites, will now offer its proprietary digital lifestyle network, CarbonTV, to television viewers through Roku, a digital media player that allows viewers to stream Internet content to their televisions. The company will also launch a giveaway contest to help spread word that CarbonTV is on Roku.

Carbon Media Group will give away a free Roku player, which typically retails for $50, to one lucky viewer each day for 30 consecutive days. Participants are allowed to enter the contest once a day. Bonus entries can be earned by sharing the contest on social media platforms such as Twitter, Google+ and through email. Registration is free and can be completed at CarbonTV.com/sweepstakes.

“Putting CarbonTV content onto Roku allows us to diversify the ways in which viewers can watch our shows and share in the outdoor experiences provided by CarbonTV programming,” said Carbon Media Group CEO Hyaat Chaudhary. “We continue to seek out cutting-edge technologies that will help us expand our viewership and provide new audiences with access to our exclusive content for those who live, work and play outdoors.”

Roku is the second most popular over-the-top content player behind AppleTV and allows viewers to stream content via an app or over the web. Carbon Media Group has developed a CarbonTV Roku app, which is currently available to Roku owners and can be downloaded through their Roku device.
