MGM Grand Welcomes 'CSI' and 'Family Guy' to Gaming Floor

DETROIT — MGM Grand Detroit, the market leader in gaming and entertainment, has announced the first to market placement of two new themed penny denomination slot games on its floor, Family Guy and CSI, as well as the planned return of one of its most popular, Sex and the City. Troy Hammie, MGM Grand Detroit’s vice president of Slot Operations, made the announcement.

CSI offers players the opportunity to experience the same heart-pounding action found on the hit TV drama. Featuring options to play one of three games: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami or CSI: NY, the MLD (Multi-Layer Display) machines provide players with the opportunity to swipe between the three games at any time.  CSI also offers three immersive bonus features with life-like scenes from the award-winningshows.

Based on FOX’s hit series, Family Guy slot machines feature a 3×5 Reel Interface/50 credit cost-to-cover. The multi-level progressive game’s MLD graphics and videos are sourced directly from the television show. Players will enjoy the three bonus rounds with the show’s favorite characters: Peter, Lois and Stewie Griffin.

“We have found that our guests enjoy playing themed slot machines, especially ones based off of their favorite television programs and films,” said Hammie. “Adding slots from two of today’s most popular shows, CSI and Family Guy, was an obvious move for us.  We are really excited to be first to market with these themes!”

Making its original debut at MGM Grand Detroit in 2011, Sex and the City is one of the most popular games to ever hit the slot market. Inspired by the celebrated HBO television show, and later movies, the five real, 40 pay line game includesvideo clips of classic scenes from the television show.

The multi play, multi level progressive game features a combo of four games, each featuring one of the main female characters — Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha — in one package.  Players, who have the option to play a single game or all four at one time to increase winning chances, are led through each bonus round by the infamous “Mr. Big.”

Adds Hammie, “Our decision to bring back Sex and the City was made after much consideration and listening to our guests. We know it will return with a lot of fanfare.”
